How Conducting Physical Inventory Counts Optimizes Your Warehouse Operations
With the Physical Inventory Counts feature in our Warehouse Inventory System, users can monitor inventory stock levels using both the mobile and browser applications. While performing the physical inventory count, your team will be able to sync inventory data to the Warehouse Barcode Inventory System, providing your business with real-time data that is analyzed in our system. This feature works seamlessly with the rest of the software to give you accurate numbers whenever you need it so you can manage stock levels in real time.
What Does Conducting Physical Inventory Counts Do for Your Business?
This feature in our Warehouse Management System (WMS) doesn’t only do basic inventory counting. Our team came up with this powerful feature that works in conjunction with other features in our system to help make you and your employees work smarter and faster. This feature gives you the ability to:
- Check the variances in inventory levels.
- Adjust inventory counting.
- Generate Physical Inventory-Focused Reports.
- Perform physical inventory checks on the spot where necessary.
How the Physical Inventory Counts Process Starts in the WMS Mobile App
Our WMS Mobile App, available both in the App Store and Google Play Store, starts off the Physical Inventory Counts process. The physical inventory transaction works as an audit of the items in the system and is repeated until all items have been scanned.
Rather than painstakingly manually recording down every detail of each item in a spreadsheet or on paper, you start by scanning the items with our Mobile App on your device. Certain fields will automatically loop, making this an easy process. Depending on your inventory type, this process might differ.
How to Complete the Process on the WMS Browser App
Once the counting portion is completed from the mobile app, users would come to the physical inventory section on the browser app to select the final relevant details.
This includes dates, locations and any notable issues. Our system also gives you the opportunity to adjust details associated with the scanned items and export the physical inventory count data in a variety of formats.
How to Generate Physical Inventory Reports
1Both the steps on the Mobile app and browser have history recorded for them. Users can make reports if they wish to see this information in a specific format. This will show the data that is seen on both steps respectively.
