Scheduling Maintenance
Users in our Asset Tracking System can plan one-time or recurring maintenance for their assets with our “Schedule Maintenance” feature. By asset scheduling ahead of time, you and your organization can avoid significant breakdowns or maintenance disasters with your important assets. Optimize your equipment maintenance scheduling using trackers to proactively prevent downtime.
One-Time vs Recurring
- One-Time Maintenance: One-time maintenance events are for a cracked screen repair or for a flat tire change.
- Recurring Maintenance: Recurring maintenance is for routine events such as an annual inspection, monthly calibration, or weekly filter change.
One-Time Schedule Maintenance
To schedule a one-time maintenance event, follow these simple steps:
- Enter the Maintenance ID: Select the “Asset #” that maintenance will be performed on.
- Choose the “Maintenance Type”: Select whether the Maintenance will be “Date-based” or “Asset data field based”.
- Set the “Scheduled For Date”: Choose a person to conduct the maintenance
One-Time Maintenance Date-Based vs. Data Field Based
- Date-Based Maintenance: Users can schedule maintenance events for a certain date. Date Events allows users to set the frequency at which maintenance will occur, the start and end dates, the first “scheduled for” date, and whether the system will set the next “ongoing” maintenance date.
- Data Field Based Maintenance: Users can schedule maintenance based on the “Asset Data Field” such as a vehicle’s mileage field, licenses, asset cost, or any additional field. As for data field based events, users can set the frequency of the recurring maintenance, the start and end dates, the “basis” (otherwise known as the “starting point”), and the first “scheduled for” date.
Recurring Schedule Maintenance
Our recurring maintenance software allows for users to easily schedule recurring maintenance for any asset. Simply follow these steps:
- Enter the Maintenance ID #: Select the “Asset #” that maintenance will be performed on.
- Choose the “Maintenance Type”: Select whether the Maintenance will be “Date-based” or “Asset data field based”.
Configurable Fields
We know that every organization is different. And when looking for an Asset Tracking System, they are preloaded with data fields and categories that are one-size-fits-all.
