Warehouse User Security Levels
It can be difficult to know where to start when establishing a secure warehouse management system (WMS) for the first time. We placed that need at the forefront, and thus our system offers different levels of configurable security. In our Warehouse Inventory System, administrators start off with five comprehensive security settings. Then, they can configure additional security options to the specific needs of your warehouse. This ensures that your most valuable information can only be accessed and handled by the right personnel. This ensures that our Warehouse Barcode Inventory system’s security configurations always give you full control of your inventory and airtight security. Here, we’ll walk you through what our system offers and how it can be tailored to meet your needs exactly.
Why Should You Implement Varied Security Levels in WMS
Managing a warehouse effectively requires administrators to handle information with varying levels of sensitivity.
Bolsters your warehouse against information leaks
Only people with the appropriate credentials can access the WMS and the sensitive data it holds.
Secures the reputation of your warehouse
By reducing the risk of warehouse data breaches, your business builds trust between you and your customers.
Spearhead a new industry standard by securing your business
With data breaches and leaks on the rise, securing your business prepares you for the future where there will undoubtedly be stricter policies and legislation.
Security Levels in Our Warehouse Inventory System
1Within the system, we implement five comprehensive default security profiles which you or a designated administrator can assign to your employees. These are Admin, Accounting, Full, Standard, and View. These security profiles will provide access to different parts of the WMS, so your employees only interact with data relevant to their roles.
Configuring WMS Security Levels
1Beyond the default security levels, our WMS also gives you or your admin the ability to create configured security levels. These can be modified heavily, for example turning off entire functions and options for specific users. With configured security levels, you can control what each user can do down to specific functions.
How to Edit Warehouse Inventory Fields
With Security Levels in place, your employees with assigned administrative clearance can also adjust access to fields and forms in the WMS. Admins can pick and choose who can view or edit fields that are used across the system. Those with access have the option of also adding fields of Text, Numeric, Date or URL to forms.
